Hello All hard to believe we are at week 16 and as such we are back at my Favorite type of card... Traps so who better then another Kaiba Classic- Ring Of Destruction. As some of you might know this little beauty was recently taken off the Ban list so I thought why not share in it's greatness.

    Fun Facts-

    1. This card was 1st seen in the GameBoy Advance game Eternal Duelist Soul which came out in 2002 under the name- Bell of Destruction. Please Note many of the rules were added to Balance out its power after it's Unbanning.

    2. Since it's first "use" in 2002 this card has had 5 rewrites aka Erratums.

    3. The Original text- Destroy 1 face-up Monster Card and inflict Direct Damage equal to the destroyed card's ATK to the Life Points of both you and your opponent.

The text upon it's unbanning Earlier this year(It's 5th Erratum)- During your opponent's turn: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls whose ATK is less than or equal to their LP; destroy that face-up monster, and if you do, take damage equal to its original ATK, then inflict damage to your opponent, equal to the damage you took. You can only activate 1 "Ring of Destruction" per turn.

    4. This card cannot be activated during your turn. Also, it cannot be activated during the Damage Step.

    5. While your opponent has 1500 Life Points, you can target 1 "Red Dragon Archfiend" whose ATK was halved by the effect of "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind". When resolving this effect, "Red Dragon Archfiend" is destroyed and you take 3000 damage. (If your Life Points becomes 0, you lose the Duel.) Then, your opponent takes 3000 damage. (If your Life Points did not become 0, you win the Duel.)

    6. If the monster targeted with "Ring of Destruction" is changed to face-down Defense Position using "Book of Moon", the targeted monster is not destroyed, and neither player takes damage.

    7. If the monster targeted with "Ring of Destruction" is destroyed, the damage inflicted is equal to the original ATK written on the destroyed monster. Therefore, if a "Vorse Raider" equipped with "Unstable Evolution" is destroyed with "Ring of Destruction", each player takes 1900 damage.

    8. With the new "Ring of Destruction" errata, the effect damage is not inflicted simultaneously. First, you take damage, then your opponent takes Damage. Therefore, it is now impossible to use Ring of Destruction to force a DRAW, as per a new rule found at the Yu-Gi-Oh Blog, if your Life Points hit 0 during a chain, the duel ends immediately.
Due to its new wordings, your opponent will not take any damage if you take no damage at the first place.
